Clinical Triage & Referrals: Conduct thorough triage of all ENT referrals, ensuring timely and appropriate referrals to secondary care when needed. Patient Assessments: Perform comprehensive assessments for patients presenting with ENT conditions, ensuring each patient receives a tailored, high-quality evaluation. Diagnosis & Treatment: Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and advice on acute ENT conditions in line with local referral guidelines. Patient Empowerment: Support patients in self-managing their ENT conditions, offering treatment options and guidance that promote autonomy and well-being. Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain precise and timely patient records through clinical software, following standardized coding practices. GP Collaboration: Work closely with referring GPs to strengthen clinical awareness and streamline the patient care pathway. Policy & Governance Compliance: Uphold organizational policies and governance standards, promptly reporting significant events and actively participating in Clinical Governance Meetings. Effective Communication: Use sensitive, effective communication, especially when obtaining consent, delivering difficult news, and supporting patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Patient & Colleague Advocacy: Act as a compassionate advocate for patients and colleagues, ensuring their needs are addressed professionally and empathetically. Ongoing Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning to maintain clinical excellence and stay informed about the latest advances in ENT care.
