Part-Time Equine Veterinary Surgeon - Essex

- Salary up to £55,000 DOE pro rata
- 2/3 days a week
- OOH bonus scheme
- Pension scheme
- Generous CPD allowance

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, independent group in Essex. This position will be based at their equine clinic, which boasts top-notch diagnostic, hospitalisation and surgical facilities. The Practice is situated in the beautiful county of Essex within easy reach of London and the M25. As well as the great location, they also have several fantastic facilities on offer, including ultrasound, digital x-ray, in-house lab, hydrotherapy, ECG and endoscopy.

The group have been independently owned since the 80's. Their clinicians are encouraged to take charge of their cases and the experienced team take internal referrals ideal for more challenging patients.

The current vacancy is a part-time role working 2 to 3 days a week, with a mix of 8:30am 8pm shifts and 8:30am 5:30pm shifts. The OOH rota is one weeknight per fortnight, and then one weekend in seven weeks, plus a Saturday morning once every seven weeks. The OOH is actually quite limited, as on weeknights you are responsible for emergencies up until 8pm, then the phones switch over to VetsNow. Weekend shifts are solely for emergencies between 8am and 5pm.

Our client is looking for a confident equine vet who wants the opportunity to develop their own area of expertise. You will be competent and confident in basic surgery and medicine, and candidates with specialist skills or certificates will be considered. You will be motivated and a passionate team player with a personable and friendly attitude and a strong client focus. An ability to nurture interns will be a bonus.
