Myn is recruiting for a long-term client in the South East of England, seeking a skilled and motivated Social Worker to join their Specialist Children’s Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified or experienced practitioners to make a difference in children and families' lives while developing their skills and experience.
The Role:
As a Social Worker, you will manage a varied Children & Families caseload, including complex cases. You’ll carry out assessments, reviews, and prepare welfare reports, sometimes involving court attendance. You’ll work closely with other agencies to ensure children’s safety and well-being.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a diverse caseload in line with the Social Care Capability Framework (SCCF).
- Conducting thorough assessments and reviews.
- Preparing and presenting welfare reports.
- Building partnerships with statutory, voluntary, and private agencies.
- Keeping accurate and timely records using agreed systems.
- Staying up-to-date with legislation, particularly around Looked After Children, Children in Need, and Child Protection.
What You’ll Need:
- A recognised social work qualification and Social Work England registration.
- Ability to manage complex cases and work closely with children and families.
- Strong communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
- A commitment to completing the ASYE standard within 2 years of qualifying (for newly qualified candidates).
