Key Responsibilities
To learn and assist with the undertaking of the responsibilities set out below:
- To learn and assist in the preparation of detailed specifications for construction work and contract documents.
- To learn the benefits and techniques of assessing tender submissions and undertake basic tender analysis.
- To develop an understanding of how to prepare project accounts and financial management and undertake the preparation of accounts for basic projects
- To learn how to undertake basic surveys of properties and understand the benefit of running a 10 Year Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule.
- To understand and work within health and safety requirements when running a project.
- To work with project managers to carry out ad hoc surveys and reports
- To work with wider Grosvenor teams to ensure the successful delivery of maintenance activities
- To learn how to, and assist project managers in, obtaining planning and/or listed building consent as required.
- To learn all relevant statutory requirements for construction and facilities management projects, when they are relevant and how to apply them to projects.
- To liaise with tenants and key individuals affected by or involved in project work.
- To assist in monitoring fabric, maintenance & electrical repairs and liaising with suppliers and tenants
- Reviews existing ways of working and identifies opportunities for contributing to sustainability improvements.
- To help support the delivery of the Major Works, ESF, and SMDP project portfolios.
- To learn risk, programme, and cost management, across a range for projects
Key Requirements
- Genuine interest in a career in Project Management with a property company
- Educated to GCSE level obtaining at least 5 A*- C Grades (including at least two Science based subject or double science, Maths's, and English)3. The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the Project Management Apprenticeship L4.
- Experience of working and collaborating as part of a team
- experience of problem solving and applying logic
- Able to demonstrate enthusiasm, tenacity, and rigor
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Well-organized
- Good IT abilities, with some experience of Excel
