We’re looking for an experienced Bar Saw Operative to join a leading steel stockholding business in the Aldridge area. This role is temporary to permanent, providing an opportunity for stability and growth in a busy, high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating bar saw machines to cut steel materials precisely
Measuring, setting up, and adjusting machinery for various steel stock sizes
Conducting quality checks to ensure all cuts meet specifications
Maintaining and inspecting equipment for optimal performance
Collaborating with the warehouse team to meet daily production targets
Adhering to strict health and safety protocols in a steel handling environment
What we’re looking for:
Prior experience in bar saw operation within a steel stockholding or similar heavy manufacturing environment
Ability to handle heavy materials and work safely with industrial machinery
Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and safety-focused
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and team-oriented approach
