The Role
Talk Community brings together partners around the vision of making Herefordshire a better place to live and work, with a focus on community support that promotes and facilitates independence and wellbeing across all ages.
We have a 6 months fixed term vacancy to provide cover for one of our five Talk Community Development Officers. Each officer is allocated one of Herefordshire’s Primary Care Network areas, supporting community wellbeing by providing practical support such as help to develop projects, provide funding advice and working with others to address health inequalities and build community resilience.
About You
You will also be responsible for supporting a network of local Talk Community hubs, delivered by community organisations to support local people access the information and advice they need to live well. Working closely with partners in health and the voluntary and community this an exciting opportunity to embed strengths based approaches working with communities in Herefordshire.
We are looking for someone with significant experience in community development and engagement, working with a wide range of partners, including the voluntary and community sector. You will also have really strong interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as being task focussed.
