NHS England are looking to recruit aPerinatal Patient and Public Voice (PPPV) Chairfor the Midlands.
Are you interested in helping develop and improve maternity care and experience for mothers, babies and families in the Midlands? Would you like to represent the views and ideas of women and families in relation to maternity services, whilst supporting transformation through project management?
We know that by working with those who use our services we can deliver better outcomes for families. As a Perinatal Patient and Public Voice (PPPV) Chair, you will bring your knowledge and experience of maternity and neonatal care to:
· Ensure the programme considers and prioritises the perspective of those using our services
· Champion the diversity of the views of all people who use our services
· Provide ‘critical friend’ challenge to the programme and contribute experience and/or expertise
· Have an active involvement in the local Maternity Voices Partnership or Local Maternity System
This role requires current knowledge of maternity service issues, along with the necessary strategic experience to manage senior demands within complex political environments, strong communication skills with clinical teams,Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) chairs and members across the region and an enthusiasm for continuous improvement of NHS Maternity Services.
The role will require a commitment of 2.5 days per week at a band 8a level. The recruitment process is likely to comprise a short interview and a discussion with a stakeholder panel.
The PPPV Chair role is for a 2-year period and the start date can be negotiated.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher.
