Principle Purpose: The main duty of the Night House Manager is to be responsible for the operation of the hotel during the night while running night audits and providing friendly and efficient reception service.

General Duties
|
- Oversee and assist in the smooth running of all guest-related tasks and issues
- Have a physical presence at the front desk until all guests have returned to their rooms
- Prepare and deliver any room service orders
- Oversee the night cleaner and ensure all areas are being cleaned to the required standard
- Support the management team with any relevant administration tasks as required
- Ensure all guest complaints are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner where possible
- Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure excellent levels of guest services are provided
- Be guest-focused at all times
- Represent our brand at all times
- Ensure all guest-facing areas are presentable, liaising with maintenance and housekeeping as required

Essential:
- A minimum of two years experience in a similar role
- Previous Front of House experience
- A demonstratable commitment to high-end guest experience
- A strong team player with bags of enthusiasm and personality
- Excellent task prioritisation and delegation
|
Policy & Procedure
|
- Ensure the night audit is run accurately and in line with SOPs
- Carry out regular floor checks
- Enforce and comply with all company policies and procedures which are fundamental in maintaining effective performance, communication and a good business reputation
- Assist with breakfast set-up
|
Essential:
- Experience of running night audit
- Sound knowledge of a hotel-integrated PMS system
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
- Strong administrative & I.T. skills
- Experience of hotel computer systems
- Drivers licence and own transport
|
Health & Safety
|
- Ensure the internal security of the building (i.e external doors are locked and secured) and CCTV is monitored regularly
- Be responsible for the cleanliness of the reception area, and the cleaning/maintenance of the open fires
- Ensure a safe environment for both staff & guests and
- adhere to the company’s health & safety procedures
- To be the first point of contact for first aid

Preferrable
- First Aid qualification is preferred
- Current Enhanced CRB check is preferred
- Fire warden experience if preferred
|
People & Communication
|
- Advise senior management of any major incident as per the emergency contact sheet
- Provide a detailed handover to the early House Manager including any guest or maintenance-related issues
- Communicate with your team and other departments as appropriate to ensure a smooth guest experience throughout the hotel
- Provide a sympathetic ear to any complaints received
