Quality Assurance Assistant
Hours - 2pm till 10pm
Hourly Rate - £13.50
Immediate start
As a Quality Assurance Assistant at Taylor’s Snacks, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are safe, authentic, legal, and exceed customer expectations. You will perform various quality assurance duties across our production lines, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Perform verification checks on all production lines, including challenging the Metal Detection procedure, checkweigher challenges, product changes, and competency tests. Detailed training will be provided.
Conduct routine audits such as GMP and Glass & Hard Plastic audits at set frequencies, ensuring timely and satisfactory completion of necessary actions.
Carry out equipment calibration at specified intervals and report any issues.
Report and raise Non-Conformances and Hold Notes, assisting in finding Root Causes and Corrective Actions. Manage non-conforming products to prevent their use.
Participate in sensory analysis schedules.
Support the Quality Manager in maintaining the safety, legality, and quality of products.
Train production staff and identify areas requiring further training.
Ensure customer requirements are met, including correct labelling and best-before dates, as part of the verification process.
Perform all tasks in line with work instructions, HACCP, Food Hygiene Standards, and Health and Safety Standards.
Maintain excellent attention to detail.
Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed, legible, and accessible.
Candidates must have experience in production
