Crynodeb
We require a full time Window Technician based in Clacton On Sea, Essex.
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE:
Assist in the execution of UKAS test procedure in line with Company quality management procedures and legislative requirements.
Gain technical knowledge of hardware products, consequently assisting / dealing directly with technical sales enquiries.
Manual handling of windows up to 75kg utilising associated lifting equipment and loading/ unloading on to necessary test rigs.
Managing external calibration schedule and carrying out in house calibration of test equipment.
Administering and adjusting where necessary written test procedures and data logging in line with WTN / UKAS requirements
Maintaining up to date legislative test knowledge and updating necessary documentation / staff within the Windows Test House.
Represent the “Windows Test House” at national test board seminars / briefings when required.
Skills:
Mechanical Engineer Qualification – i.e City & Guilds level 2, NVQ,
Proven practical experience in Mechanical Engineering environment
Computer literate – (word, Outlook, Excel)
Good communicator and telephone manner.
Interest in test procedures and willingness to learn
Work Hours:
0800 – 1630 Mon – Thu 0800 – 1530 Fri (39hrs a week)
25 days plus bank holiday per year.
