Supervisor – Full Time

40 hours a week working 5 days out of 7. Will include days, evenings and weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Outstanding Customer Service: Ensure every customer receives a welcoming and helpful experience.
  • Theft Prevention: Maintain vigilance to prevent theft through proactive customer engagement.
  • Sales Improvement: Identify opportunities to increase sales and implement strategies to achieve this.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate and guide staff to boost sales and provide excellent service.
  • Store Merchandising: Regularly update merchandising to ensure the store is appealing and aligned with promotions.
  • Stock Control: Maintain accurate knowledge of all stock, including stockroom and drawers. Ensure the shop floor is well-stocked.
  • Delivery Processing: Efficiently process deliveries, ensuring all new stock is priced and excess stock is stored properly.
  • Store Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the store, including:
  • Must have Supervisor or Managerial experience

In the Absence of a Manager or Assistant Manager:

  • Monitor staff punctuality, recording and reporting any lateness or sickness.
  • Supervise staff performance and report to the manager as needed.
  • Motivate and encourage the team to meet service and sales targets.
  • Check and respond to emails as appropriate.
  • Implement price changes and ensure store set-up aligns with targets.
  • Effectively close down the store, including cleaning, cashing up, and pulling forward stock.
  • Be proactive with stock management, promoting non-sellers to drive sales.
  • Monitor cash control and resolve customer complaints
