Summary
This position entails operating a Sub-Compact Sweeper with a gross vehicle weight of under 3.5 tonnes. The role is integral to a service-oriented street cleansing team, focused on maintaining and enhancing the cleanliness of the City streets.
Key duties include driving a Compact sweeper, collecting and disposing of waste at local transfer stations, and assisting with maneuvering tasks as needed. The role also involves visiting designated sites, reporting necessary maintenance across NNE services, completing required documentation, and collaborating effectively with team members. Daily vehicle checks and maintenance, including defect reporting through the VRC APP, are essential, along with ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
Candidates must possess a full UK B driving license, with a C1 license being desirable. Local geographical knowledge and familiarity with health and safety regulations are advantageous. Essential skills include basic literacy and numeracy, the ability to work under pressure with attention to detail, effective communication, teamwork, reliability, and the capability to perform manual tasks.
