Summary
The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 7,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. Catterick Garrison is a major Army Garrison and Military Town 3 miles (5 km) south of Richmond, North Yorkshire and is the largest British Army Garrison in the world, with a population of around 13,000+ people and covering over 2,400 acres (about 10 km2). It provides a range of services to over 20 British Army Regi-ments/Units who are stationed there.
An exciting position for a Leading Hand Driver has opened within the Transport Support Unit, Headquarters Catterick Garrison. As part of a hard-working, motivated, and enthusiastic team, you will have an excellent opportunity to work alongside civilian and military colleagues providing crucial transport support to a large number military and civilian staff as well as to many Army Units.
