Deputy Deport Driver Team Leader
The Best Connection are currently recruiting a Team Leader to support the logistical operations of a local business and their rapid expansion plans. This is an exciting opportunity as a Team Leader you will report to the Depot Team leader and Transport Manager, competent in leading a team of drivers.
The role Includes: Supporting the Depot Team Leader, supervising and motivating a team of drivers to ensure they meet performance targets and objectives Support with the scheduling shifts and routes to optimise efficiency and meet customer demands Collaborating with driver agencies to ensure cover for all areas of daily runs, including timesheet checks Coordinating with the Transport Planner to ensure timely pickups and deliveries Supporting the Depot Driver Team Leader to monitor driver performance and vehicles maintenance to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations Assisting managing returns and collections at the depot, ensuring products are packed safely and securely Investigating and reporting any accidents or incidents involving company vehicles Ensuring all daily deliveries are completed exceptional on time in full Lifting, moving, loading, unloading, protecting, wrapping and managing all products and equipment safely Providing KPI support on date entry on all agreed system sheets. The candidate: Competent using reporting tolls such as Google sheets and an understanding of systems such as Optimoroute, Fleetloc8, Checksafe and Brightpearl would be an advantage. Be able to demonstrate exceptional driving standards and compliance, whilst also being courteous and supportive to all customers Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the transport or logistics industry Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Valid drivers licence with a clean driving record FLT Licence would be an advantage Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:00am till 16:00pm Pay Rates: £14.00 per hour Benefits of working for The Best Connection include: On-going assignments Weekly pay Holiday entitlement Personal accident insurance On-line payslips Pension provision Perks to work scheme Suitable candidates will be invited to register online via our digital on-boarding system
