Become an Assistant Locality Manager with Dimensions!
Are you a senior/lead support worker looking to take the next exciting step in your career? Or do you have solid experience in social care and want to build your leadership skills while continuing to make a real difference? Either way, we have an amazing opportunity for you to join us as an Assistant Locality Manager across our homes in Hertfordshire.
- Assistant Locality Manager
- Hertfordshire
- £28,157.22 - £30,972.94 per annum
- Full time (22.5 hours off-rota)
This is the perfect blend of leadership and direct support. You will have 22.5 hours off rota, where you will be home-based, and the rest of your week will be spent working on shift directly supporting the incredible people in our homes. It is the best of both worlds!
We are looking for someone flexible and adaptable who can support our homes across Hertfordshire, with locations in Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Stevenage, and Welwyn Garden City. During your management time, you will be working from home, but you will also need to travel to different homes to complete essential checks and support your team. You will be hands-on in providing direct support when on shift, ensuring a high level of support for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
About the role
This is your opportunity to build your skills and expertise:
- Supporting the Locality Manager to guide, motivate and encourage your team to provide a quality service in line with our values, policies, and practices.
- Working with relatives and outside agencies - including health professionals, social workers, and advocates - to meet the needs of the people we support
- Establishing and monitoring service budgets.
- Managing person-centred rotas and the recruitment of new team members.
- Leading by example and being a positive role model for your team.
- Delivering direct support, dividing your time between supporting people, and working in the office.
What we are looking for:
- You should have experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism, particularly in environments where individuals live alone.
- You will work closely with the Locality Manager to inspire and motivate your team.
- Shifts can be negotiable, but they will fall between 7am and 10pm, with some weekends and occasional on-call duties.
- You will need to be comfortable with basic IT tasks, such as managing emails, e-learning, and documentation.
- You will be managing multiple tasks across several homes, so being organised and able to prioritise is key.
- Developing positive relationships with both families and external agencies is a big part of this role, ensuring the best outcomes for the people we support.
