What’s the Role: Support Worker
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support individuals to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Warwickshire Support Living Services, Nuneaton
Praxis Care’s services in Nuneaton are providing innovative and bespoke packages of care to some of the most vulnerable people in the area who are experiencing a degree of learning disability and enduring mental health issues. A number will have been in long term institutional placements and will require an extended period of readjustment to community living – this is where our services come in.
Each person we engage with will have a tailored care package to support their return to live within local communities in a Supported Living setting, with staff being involved with developing each Service User’s confidence and abilities to live as independently as possible. Services are close to each other with support from a local office base and we are growing across the region. Our expertise is in working with people with complex and multiple needs, there will be challenges on the way as outcomes are worked towards but we will be there for each person’s journey. Praxis Care wants to make a real difference in people’s lives by creating opportunities and collaborating with other agencies to promote the best possible outcomes for everyone we engage with.
We will ensure that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to deliver the specialist care and support required and encourage active learning opportunities and career progression.

Company Maternity Pay
Salary Details:
Support Worker Full Time £23,200.32 per annum
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies*
