Crynodeb
We are currently looking for an individual to come and join us in our farm, starting from June to the end of August.
Driving a Forklift truck at Varfell to support the team handling bulbs and summer flowers.
Assistant with repairs and maintenance of machinery in accordance with company training/personal competence/Health &Safety guidelines.
Applicants must:
• Have a forklift license
• Be competent to drive a forklift truck
• Be flexible and willing to help others
• Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Normal working hours are 48 per week and you will be paid a minimum of £12 per hour. There may be the need to work overtime for which there is an overtime rate applicable.
Key Objectives:
Operating the forklift under the direction of the department manager
Carry out daily pre-use inspections on equipment, reporting any faults.
Carry out operational tasks while observing Safe Systems of Work.
Follow the “Clean as you Go” policy ensuring work areas are kept tidy, bins are emptied, pallets are stacked appropriately, and forklifts are cleaned weekly.
Assist with repairs and maintenance as required and within trained competency limits.
Take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and that of colleagues.
Work Pattern
The working week can be up to 6 days per week during our peak times.
The working day starts at either 7am or 8am and finishes at 5-7pm. These hours are reduced or extended depending on customer orders
We are also happy to consider other flexible shift patterns that candidates may put forward.
