The Bristol Royal Hospital for Childrenis excited to offer opportunities forBand 3 Senior Health Care Support Workersto join our dedicated and caring team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to children and young people.
As a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people with their healthcare needs. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, delivering high-quality care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with personal care and ensuring the well-being of patients.
• Supporting the clinical team with observations and treatments.
• Providing emotional and practical support to children, young people and their families.
• Helping maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients.
• Working closely with other healthcare professionals in a team
This role is ideal for someone who is caring, compassionate and eager to make a positive impact on the lives of young patients.

Key Requirements to Apply:
To be shortlisted for this role, you must demonstrate on your application the following:
• Maths qualificationat GCSE A*-C / 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent
• English qualificationat GCSE A*-C / 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent
• Level 3 qualification (or higher)in any subject
• Experience or a passionfor working with children and young people.
• Caring experiencein a healthcare or social care setting.
We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have excellent communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
If you do not have previous acute care experience, we offer a12-week Band 2 to Band 3 Trainee Programme. This programme will equip you with the necessary skills and experience to successfully transition into the Band 3 role.
