We are a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Newcastle, committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love for learning. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to join our team on a long-term supply basis, starting in January.
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mandarin to students in Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Mandarin curriculum and share best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Mandarin at secondary school level, preferably Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mandarin curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
