Job description: Multi Skilled Engineer
Location:EN9 2PD, Lower Nazeing, Essex
Salary/Rate: £19.38/hour • Company Benefits: Company Pension, Additional £5.00 per hr when working from 6pm to 11pm.
Shift Hours: Between the hours of 7am to 11pm
Our company has opportunities for enthusiastic fully qualified Multi Skilled Engineer to become part of our growing team.
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be an integral part of the operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our concrete block manufacturing equipment as well as the Site.
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be an integral part of the operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our concrete block manufacturing equipment as well as the Site.
About the Multi Skilled Engineer role:
As part of a team, you will receive ongoing training, support, and development.
-Training and development
-Company Benefits: Company Pension after probation period, -Annual Pay increases – Depended on company’s overall performance.
-Breaks consist of 45 mins to 1 hrs and paid.
Annual Leave consist of 20 days excluding BH. (Please note: 3 to 4 -days needs to be kept aside for Christmas Shutdown).
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be an advantage.
-Mechanical biased.
-Ability to work in a team and communicate with back-office staff.
-Organised and a good timekeeper.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Improve and maintain production processes or services within buildings.
• Design and implement cost effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and manage people, projects, and resources.
• Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs.
• Discuss and resolve complex problems with manufacturing areas.
• Liaise with contractors and sub-contractors.
• Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques.
• Plan and design new production processes
• Produce details of specifications and designs
• Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time restraints.
• Respond promptly to any reported faults or break downs.
• Liaise with other professionals, within and outside of the engineering sector.
• Monitor and commission plant and systems.
• Ensure all engineering works are carried out in accordance with company legislation.
• Carry out risk assessments for all engineering works as required.
• Supporting/ mentoring engineers as required.
• Any other reasonable duties that are required by the company.
