Temporary Role
gap personnel Exeter, are currently recruiting for a Freight/Logistics Forwarder based on the outskirts of Cullompton. You will be joining a global market leader who supply medical equipment globally.
Duties of a Freight Forwarder but not limited to:
Organising the shipment of goods
Negotiating terms with carriers, booking cargo space, and making payments
Managing customs clearance procedures, transport documents, and insurance paperwork
Tracking and communicating shipment status with clients in real-time
Checking that shipments are delivered on time.
Researching freight rates and arranging shipments between different locations with asset-based transport outfits
Sending the necessary documents for collection
About You:
Freight or Logistics Experience
Strong eye for detail
Self Sufficient
This role could become permanent for the right person.
Working Hours & Pay:
Monday to Friday, 0900am – 1700pm
£25,000 - £28,000PA
Key Skills: Freight, Logistics, Forwarder, Administrative
Successful candidates will be pro-active team workers, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abide by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
