The Role
This is an opportunity for a talented individual to assist in the delivery of flood protection measures across the Falkirk area.
The postholder will assist in the management & maintenance of watercourses and associated infrastructure assets helping to manage flood risk and reduce the impacts of flooding on our communities and environment. The role also includes liaising with internal & external stakeholders & clients throughout projects.
You will hold an HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent discipline), will be a member of a relevant institution and you will have knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, as well as being able to assist in the design, procurement and implementation of flood protection studies, surface water management plans and delivery of projects associated with the Local Flood Risk Management Plan.
You will have good organisational and presentation skills, along with experience of current health & safety regulations and data protection legislation. You will be IT literate, have good interpersonal and report writing skills, with an ability to work as part of a team.
You are required to be flexible, innovative and reactive to public demands and pressures.
