We're looking for Category Controllers to join us at Nisa to make sure that the right product proposition, ranges, and promotions are offered to our customers and that these are executed effectively, in line with Nisa values.

Our future growth strategy sees us targeting new markets by delivering a competitive value proposition to customers in a segmented way that balances price and promotional levers and we'll look to you to develop a compelling and differentiated promotional package for Nisa that delivers our commercial & customer goals. This is an exciting chance to develop your skills and gain great exposure across a key area of our business whilst helping us to deliver our growth strategy.

What you'll do

  • Support the overall delivery of the annual category sales and profit targets for Nisa Wholesale
  • Manage and agree a promotional proposal for Nisa and update the systems with promotional and deal information
  • Work closely with suppliers on the promotional plans, negotiating activation monies
  • Select an effective wholesale range and suggest any additional wholesale specific requirements where needed
  • Work collaboratively with Buyers to make sure they cover the strategic needs of wholesale in all range reviews
  • Drive strategic and tactical trade activities through the creation of loyalty deals and the day to day management of own brand mix

This role would suit people who have

  • Experience of working in a retail buying environment or a wholesale environment
  • Good commercial acumen with a customer focussed mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret data in a meaningful way
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with external partners
  • Great organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Why Nisa?

As part of our Nisa team, you'll get all the great benefits, training, and opportunities you'd expect in a large business like Co-op, as well as the close-knit culture and breadth of exposure that comes with working for a much smaller organisation. Your package includes:

  • 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services)
  • An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
  • 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
  • A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
  • Coaching and training to support your career development
  • Hybrid and flexible working options to support your work/life balance
  • Wagestream app - giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn
