TheKeyworkingProgramme is an exciting initiative that will transform the support mechanisms for individuals aged 0-25 with a learning disability,autismor both at risk of psychiatric inpatient admission.


The service works alongsideHealth; Social Care; Education and the Voluntary Sector.The team was developed as a community multi-disciplinary model which offers easy accessibility foridentifiedfamilies and carers. The service model was developed in close consultation with families, carers and young people and they are at the heart of its implementation and development.


An Administratorwillsupport the team whowork with individuals with the most complex needs and their families to make sure they have the support they need at the right time, in a co-ordinated way. TheKeyworkingTeamhelp families experience a reduction in stress and uncertainty and an increase in stability. They will work in the most challenging circumstances with individuals with complex needs and where there is the highest level of risk.


The post holder will supportthe teamwithadministrativedutiesandkeep theDynamic Support Register(DSR)updatedforindividuals and families under acute stress.

• To act as one of the key contact points for theKeyworkingService to support coordination of C(E)TRs with the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and update the DSR. This will involve direct contact with service users and their families/carers and a range of professionals who support them.

• To be one of the first contacts with service users and their families/carers providing non-clinical advice and guidance around care and education treatment reviews.

• Plan and arrange meetings, events which may be internal and external to the service, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made, such as room bookings, refreshments, etc. This will involve developing relationships with key stakeholderssuch as the Children and Young People and their families, CAMHS, Social Care, NHS colleagues, Education etc.

• Attend designated meetings where the information may be complex and sensitive,takingand transcribing minutes. Distribute information prior to and after meetings ina timelyway.

• Support the AdministrationLeadto ensure all office systems aremaintainedto a high standard, both electronic and hard copy, across the service, developing systems to ensure that services run smoothly through having well planned and organised administrative systems and processes in place.

The “must haves” for this role:
• Professional qualification equivalent to degree level in a relevant subject, or equivalent level of experience of children and young people with learning disabilities, autism or gained both through lived experience, education, youth work, health or social care. Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development.
• Experience of supporting young people, their families and carers in a related role (can be unpaid work) including lived experience.
• Experience of supporting young people with additional needs / mental health, either in a paid, unpaid or informal capacity.
