Job Overview
-The Master Data Manager has responsibility for (and global process ownership of) the Governance, control, and appropriate handling of Master Data maintenance, shaping process, enforcing compliance, maintaining data structure, uniformity, and integrity. Advising a wider team and collaborating with the wider organisation to further advance all of the above. Providing technical assistance where needed and guiding best practice within various project and transformation activities.



Main Duties

-
-Deploy effective processes to all parts of PTP MDM (Master Data Management)

-Support the offshore partner to deliver against designed processes, ensuring best practise is followed and a high quality service is delivered

-Developing data maintenance rigour in the process, with regular reviews being carried out

-Provide subject matter expertise to Mitie on PTP master data, engaging with other teams on acquisitions, new processes & systems and transformational activities

-Maintain consistent data maintenance principles in line with all towers of Finance Shared Services

-Have and maintain excellent technical expertise of MDM in SAP and Coupa, working closely with the Procurement systems and IT teams

-Ensure in scope system integrations are effectively monitored and triaged

-Ability to work independently, as part of a team both onshore and offshore, in a fast-paced environment.



Person Specification

· Have great data handling skills, able to deploy a high degree of common sense with regards to data integrity, governance best practice, and safeguarding controls

· Experienced user of the SAP ERP system, specifically related to master data creation and maintenance.

· Demonstrate high levels of IT literacy - including a good working knowledge of usage of Microsoft Office Suite, rising to advanced knowledge of Excel.

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

· Ability to align behaviour with the needs, priorities and goals of the organisation.

· Ability to maintain accurate and timely records

· Flexible approach to daily tasks and ‘ad-hoc' duties.

· Confident and comfortable in dealing with performance related issues.

· The commitment, drive and tenacity to achieve high standards of customer excellence.



What we are looking for
-Experience

-Where possible have an exposure to data analysis tools including data warehouses, reporting cubes, TM1, Master Data Services, SAP Add-on tools (e.g. Winshuttle).

-An understanding of data protection laws and regulations

-Familiarity with the basics of data, terminology and processes within the spheres of finance, procurement and invoicing
