About The Service
You will earn £23,152 a year working full time (37 hour a week), or £12 per hour pro rata, as we are a Voluntary Living Wage employer. The Living Wage is reviewed each year and Cardiff Council reserves the right to make changes to, or remove, the Living Wage Supplement.

Our Agile Mobile Working Team is looking to employ a Corporate Apprentice (Level 2) Agile Mobile Working Support Assistant based at County Hall (Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff, CF10 4UW) to contribute to our Service helping us to deliver ICT support and provide ICT equipment to workers in the Children’s and Adult Social Services directorates and assist with digital initiatives being undertaken in the service area.

About the job
In this Corporate Apprentice (Level 2) role you will learn to:

Assist with providing basic ICT troubleshooting support in the Windows and Android operating systems.
Use Microsoft 365 packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Create SharePoint web pages and learn the administrator role of a SharePoint Site.
Provide ICT equipment to workers in Children’s and Adult Social Services.
Provide excellent customer service via email, teams and over the phone.
Run reports and interpret data regarding ICT assets within the directorate.
To support your development, you will also undertake a Welsh Government Apprenticeship Framework Qualification in Digital Application Support Level 2 in the role and will receive on the job training and supervision to help you deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive and customer focussed manner. You will also be supported by a named mentor who will encourage you to develop a range of transferrable skills to support your career progression.

Working hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday – Thursday and 8:00am – 3:30pm Fridays and the role will be based at County Hall.

Graduates are not eligible to apply for this role due to the Apprenticeship Level 2 embedded in the role. Graduates living in Cardiff may be eligible to apply for other roles including Corporate Trainee roles and apprenticeship roles at Level 3 or above, provided the degree modules are different to the apprenticeship qualification content offered in the role.
