What skills and experience we're looking for

Successful candidates have the opportunity to be fast tracked into leadership via our NPQ programme.

Science is a highly successful subject at The Wavell School. Results are well above the national average with over 80% of students gaining at least two standard passes in Science and with 30% of students studying three separate Sciences.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic classroom practitioner who:

• has excellent subject knowledge
• is resilient and resourceful
• who ideally can teach all Science subjects through to GCSE, although there can be some specialism at KS4 (all considered)
• sets a high standard and who inspires students to meet this
• makes learning exciting, leading to high levels of engagement and exam success
• thrives within a team and who enjoys collaborative working

The Science Faculty occupies seven modern laboratories with a preparation room, staff room and resources areas. The team is ably supported by highly experienced technicians. There is a very strong and supportive team spirit.
