Do you really want to make a difference to children’s reading skills?

Kingsway Community Trust wishes to appoint a highly motivated, Level 1, Grade 2 Teaching Assistant to a really rewarding position, to support reading on a one to one basis in Key Stage 1 at Cringle Brook Primary School.

The successful candidate will be joining a team of Reading Teaching Assistants and will have experience of working with children to support their learning. Candidates will need excellent literacy skills and an assessment of these will form part of the recruitment process.

The successful candidate will have recent and relevant experience of working with children, supporting learning, in a school setting. They will also be highly motivated, dynamic, have strong teamwork skills and a ‘can do’ approach to their work. They will be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual and will be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

TA level 1 Grade 2 – Term Time only – 16 hours a week.

£22.737, pro rata, equates to apx £8940 per annum

Monday to Friday 9.00am start.

First stage assessment: 8 November

Second stage interview: 12 November

Start date: 6 January 2025
