Summary


If you are enthusiastic, well-motivated, with a flexible approach and you enjoy variety and a challenge, then come and join our team in Jubilee Infusion lounge at Clacton hospital.

We provided a range of treatments to ensure patients in the Tendring area can have care closer to home. Although some experience is desirable full training within this specialist area will be given.

You will be responsible for administering infusions, injections and treatments including PICC line and Portacath care in a busy day unit setting. Some treatments are complex and include the administration of chemotherapy and blood products and other Intravenous regimens. You will part of a small highly skilled team, responsible for a wide remit of patients with sometimes complex care needs.

You will have the opportunity to develop a range of transferable skills to enable the provision of high quality, patient focused care in a fast changing, supportive and friendly environment.

You hours of work will be 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

A visit to the department prior to the interview is encouraged.
• To deliver high quality, safe, cost effective care to all patients and families. Responsible for the assessment, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in the absence of direct supervision.
• To be competent in the delivery and assessment of patients prior to Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT) and have completed the UKONS SACT passport.
• To work across the clinical area to develop and enhance clinical skills and practice.
• To work within the framework for Clinical Governance to provide effective, high quality individualised nursing care to patients and relatives/carers and to contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice.
