We would like to welcome a capable and enthusiastic colleague to a new team, sitting alongside an established NHS England function – Medical and Dental Recruitment and Selection (MDRS) - to be based in an NHS England office of their choice..

Together with the Recruitment Manager and the Head of Education Programmes Recruitment, the successful candidate will form the Education Programmes Recruitment Team. Our small team will focus on recruiting dentists to postgraduate training posts (approximately 1800 each year) to help them pursue their chosen career path and ensure access to dental care for the public. Our wider function recruits almost allpostgraduate doctors and dentists into training posts and develops the systems and platforms used to do so.

We all work within NHS England's Education and Training function, which is responsible for the education and training of the entire NHS workforce in England.

The successful candidate will be vital to the work of the Education Programmes Recruitment team. Following commencement in post, they will need to develop an awareness of how postgraduate dental training is structured and of the recruitment timelines and processes involved. Programmes related to ensuring post-graduate medical education reflects population need are also supported by the team.

Duties will include
• Creating and running reports from the national recruitment system (Oriel)
• Preparing spread sheets for completion and collating contents for analysis
• Assisting with the annual renewal of documents, forms and policies related to recruitment
• Updating and managing the dental sections of the National Website Platform (NWP)
• Communicating changes and updates to regional recruitment teams and external stakeholders
• Organising quarterly meetings of the MDRS Dental Recruitment Delivery Group, preparing papers, circulating agendas and maintaining action logs
• Organising panel meetings between senior members of MDRS and regional recruitment teams or other external stakeholders
• Supporting the team to capture lessons learned throughout the recruitment cycle and implement process improvements
• Contributing to the management of the shared MDRS mailbox, triaging correspondence regarding dental recruitment.
• Supporting the work of the wider MDRS team when needed

The NHS England board have set out the top-level purpose for the new organisation to lead the NHS in England to deliver high-quality services for all, which will inform the detailed design work and we will achieve this purpose by:
• Enabling local systems and providers to improve the health of their people and patients and reduce health inequalities.
• Making the NHS a great place to work, where our people can make a difference and achieve their potential.
• Working collaboratively to ensure our healthcare workforce has the right knowledge, skills, values and behaviours to deliver accessible, compassionate care
• Optimising the use of digital technology, research, and innovation
• Delivering value for money.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher. You can find more information on theGovernment website.

We are looking for someone who:
• Celebrates and respects differences. They value diversity in all its forms.
• Is inquisitive. They want to understand why things are done a certain way and whether they can be done better.
• Is task-oriented with an eye for detail. They can explain details to others in the context of the bigger picture.
• Enjoys organising. They gain satisfaction from planning tasks and crossing them off their to-do list.
• Shows self-awareness. They are open to challenge and eager to develop.
Reward

We work in a hybrid way by default, so your small team will be remote but personal. Our wider team is friendly and supportive, benefitting from strong leadership. As in-person working has many benefits, we aim to meet face-to-face at key points during the recruitment cycle and ask that team members spend two days a week in an NHS England office of their choice. We have a flexible working policy available for all and aspire to make our team feel safe, welcome and appreciated.

We hold frequent dynamic conversations about team members' performance and goals to encourage their development. You will have the chance to learn new skills, both within and outside of your day-to-day role. You may want to spend time with the wider team - their expertise spans many disciplines, from finance to software development to project management. You could also spend some time working on a specific area of interest or undertake some training.

Please look at the essential criteria below. Should you be invited to interview on 18thor 19thNovember, interview questions will be provided to enable you to prepare.
