About the role

The Vision & Hearing Impairment/Deaf Education Service comprises of two enthusiastic and positive teams, supporting our children and young people across Bury with vision and hearing impairments.

The successful candidate can expect to be working with supportive colleagues in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children and young people with varying levels of hearing impairment who we work with across the authority. The HI team within the service comprises of specialist/advisory teachers of the deaf and dedicated support assistants, who report to the Service Manager.

Based in 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury; the team operates on a peripatetic basis and liaises closely with its Specialist HI Unit, in Elton Primary School.

The successful candidate will be motivated and driven, bringing passion and experience to the team.


This permanent position is 0.6FTE, UPS +TLR2b.
