Summary
Alarm Receiving Centre Operatives are responsible for monitoring activities and people in order to detect any suspicious behaviour.

Attention to Detail
Alarm Receiving Centre Operatives need to be detail-oriented when completing their tasks. They must accurately record the information they receive from our customers, including any video or audio recordings and written statements. They also need to pay close attention to details while conducting surveillance so they can identify suspicious activity and take action as necessary.
Integrity
Integrity is the ability to remain honest and consistent in our actions. Alarm Receiving Centre Operatives must always maintain their integrity when working with customers, colleagues and other people. This means that they should always act honestly and fairly when dealing with others. It also means that surveillance officers should be consistent in their behaviour so that our customers can trust them and know what to expect from them.
Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is the ability to analyse a situation and make logical decisions. Our Operatives use critical thinking skills when they’re observing a potential crime. They need to be able to notice any potential risks, like if there are any safety concerns for people in the area.
Report Writing
An Alarm Receiving Centre Operative's written reports are the primary way they communicate with their Managers and Supervisors. Strong report writing skills allow an Operative to clearly explain what happened during an incident.
Communication
Communication is the ability to convey information clearly. Operatives must be able to communicate with our customers, as well as relaying key information about vehicle activity or safety concerns to Law Enforcement Agencies. They also need to be able to explain what they observed in a way that law enforcement can use it for prosecution.
Flexibility
Flexibility is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, no one day is ever the same. Operatives need flexibility because the incident they are handling can change quickly and drastically. Flexibility also helps Operatives navigate unexpected challenges like equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances.
Decision Making
Operatives must be able to make quick decisions when necessary. They may need to decide whether a situation warrants calling the police or if they can handle it themselves.
Teamwork
Our Operatives work in teams with other personnel. They must be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with others to complete their duties. Teamwork skills are also important when working with Law Enforcement agencies during investigations.
To summarise the special skills and attributes we are looking for include:
Strong analytical skills with fast paced critical-thinking ability;
Excellent attention to detail;
Proficiency in English (speaking, listening, reading, and writing);
Exemplary written and oral communication;
Advanced computer skills and proficiency;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work in a team environment;
Ability to multi-task;
Thinking through problems for logical solutions and remain calm and professional under stress;
Strong decision-making ability during both crisis and non-crisis situations;
Able to work with highly confidential information;
Must be able to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to our customers and the emergency services during emergencies;
Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
Mandatory Requirements:
Valid SIA Frontline Licence (Minimum: ‘Security’).
You must have the right to work in the UK;
Have a five-year checkable employment history;
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus;
Be able to work independently as well as part of a team;
Be punctual and reliable;
Have experience working as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
Previous customer services experience;
Previous experience with supervising teams, and monitoring performance;
Previous experience with the Bold Gemini monitoring platform;
Proven track record of meeting KPI’s;
SIA Frontline Licence (PSS (CCTV)) Licence.
