Job description
Reporting to Windtech's Director for UK and Europe, Windtech has an opening for a CFD engineer to join the London team.
The role will also be supported by one of our more Senior CFD Engineers in the team and is an excellent opportunity for turning a good grounding in theory into practical experience in a challenging and interesting industry.
Minimum Job Requirements
Masters Degree in Engineering/Science/Physics with a relevant sub-major
2-3 Years Experience in aerodynamics involving modelling in the wind tunnel or computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Pedestrian Wind Environment CFD and Wind Tunnel Testing Experience
Experience in wind engineering consultancy
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct Computational Wind Engineering Simulations on various aspects of the built environment
Conduct research and simulation of energy/thermal, solar, daylight and airflow of the built environment
Liaise with clients and other members of the CFD team to deliver consultancy projects on time and within budget
Devise methodologies for analysis and visualisation of different aspects of the built environment
Presenting analysis both internally and externally in the form of reports and client presentations
Optional Requirements
Post-Graduate degree involving fluid dynamics
Experience with building environmental CFD modelling
Experience using the following tools/ software packages: Grasshopper, Radiance, Indesign, Rhinoceros 3D, Paraview
