SHE Manager, Food Manufacturing
Opportunity for an SHE Manager based in Essex to join the business as they grow their operation.

As Safety, Health and Environment Manager for a busy food manufacturing site you’ll report into the Technical Director.

This is a great opportunity for a SHE professional to join a food manufacturing business that is experiencing exponential growth. They plan to grow their operation significantly over the next few years and invest in custom built facilities.

Day-to-day you’ll co-ordinate all Safety, Health and Environment related activities across the site, embed a behaviour-based safety approach that leads to Continuous Improvement and ensure that all SHE related activates on site comply with all legislative requirements.

You’ll act as the initial point of contact across the business on all safety matters, undertake weekly and monthly reporting on a range of Health and Safety KPIs. You’ll collate incident documentation, SHE databases / spreadsheets and produce relevant management information for the site operations team and the General Manager. You’ll coach, monitor, audit, and review activities to ensure that working practices are safe, comply with legislation and have a safe system of work along with ensuring that all potential risks associated with all activities are identified, assessed with appropriate control.

This role will suit a Safety, Health and Environment professional who is either based in Essex or able to relocate and has worked within the food industry.

To be considered for this role you will need:

Proven SHE experience gained from either a single or multi-site role in the food manufacturing sector
Working knowledge ISO SHE related management systems
Experience of managing safety or advising on safety matters
Competent user of MS Office at intermediate level (Word, Excel, Outlook)
SHE-related qualification
Qualifications – Desired:

IOSH Managing Safely
IEMA
Manual Handling Instructor and Assessor
