Role: Healthcare Assistant

Salary: Monday - Friday £14ph, Weekends £15ph

Location: BH20, Wareham

Job Type: Full Time/ Part Time

Shifts on offer*: Monday to Thursday 4.15pm - 10pm, Weekends 10am - 5pm

*Shifts Times are set times, but Monday to Sunday flexibility on offer depending on availability.

About the Role

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who can support in the Wareham area, to support a young female service user in her mid-Teens who has a PEG and requires support with Suctioning and other complex care needs. Our Healthcare Assistant roles are also doubled up as a companionship role by building up key relationships and promoting independence through daily tasks for our service user within her own home environment and especially within the community.

Activities will include playing board games/ puzzles, watching TV, socilising with her friends and family, going for long walks, but most importantly, suggesting new ideas and opportunities that serve the service users' best interests, by going above and beyond. Our Service user wants to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and have a structured routine in order to keep her safe and effective at all times.

She is non-verbal but can communicate through facial expressions and body language through she enjoys and wants to do. You will then need to communicate with her effectively and appropriately, whilst also giving her the opportunity to communicate his needs as well.

Requirements for the Role

Here at Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, we are looking for an outgoing bubbly candidate, who can show their best assets on providing the highest quality of support.

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
  • Complex Care experience preferred but not a mandatory need.
  • To provide the correct compliance documents including updated Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
  • Must be a Driver holding a Full UK Driving License, as there is a Mobility Vehicle that takes you and the service user around the community.
