The Communications Officer will join part of a forward thinking, busy Marcomms team. You will work across a broad range of projects and campaigns,largely focusedon internal communications but also some external communications and activities.
You will be expected to show experience across the full range of communications activities including writing and editing content for online and offline channels, producing and distributing electronic newsletters and using analytics to measure impact and make improvements, using content management systems to publish content to our intranet and websites, providing support with multimedia production, including video and photography.
The successful applicant will need a recognised qualification in communications to degreelevel, orhave at least two years’ experience of working in a communications environment, and will havehigh standardsof written and spoken English.
• Work on campaigns and initiatives for staff, providing support with communications planning,deliveryand evaluation, usingappropriate channels, working with the wider Communications team asrequired.
• Produce content and news stories and upload them to our external websites and staff intranet
• Write and issue the weekly electronic newsletter for staff, gathering stories, editing, overseeing design and distribution
• Support with the planning and running of events for staff (both face to face and virtual)
• Work with our in-house studio or external suppliers to produce graphics/designs for campaigns
• Support with multimedia production, including video and photography

The “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:
• Two years’ minimum experience in a communications and/or marketing role, with demonstrable knowledge of communications techniques,approachesand procedures.
• Experience of managing/delivering internal communication acrossa number ofdifferent sites and to a varied workforce
• Experience of managing campaigns from concept through to delivery, following best practice approach
• Experience of writing engaging copy for various online and offline media
• Ability to create and manage e-newsletters
