We are a prestigious roofing contractors based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire offering full roofing services (new roof installations, repairs, and maintenance) to both commercial & private clients in Hertfordshire, London and surrounding areas for over 50 years.
WE ARE RECRUITING NOW
Due to ever increasing volumes of new work being undertaken we are currently recruiting for experienced skilled roofing labourer/s, skilled labourer/s to join our exceptional team.
Please note our definition of the skill set of a ‘skilled labourer’ includes, but is not limited to:
"Someone that has more than 3+ years’ experience using power tools, 3+years woodwork experience, is comfortable using power tools at height, has good working math's skills to enable calculations, measurements for cuts, area coverage, reading of drawings etc,"
Our preference for this role is a skilled roofing labourer with 3 years + experience. We will however consider transferable skills from other industries such as carpentry, general builders skilled labourer etc. You should have a good eye for detail and have the ability to problem solve using your own initiative where can. A high level of safety awareness is required due to working at heights.
Ideally you will be looking for an exciting opportunity to work for a busy, well established roofing contractors. You should have a desire to progress within the roofing industry and be willing to complete any training to aid in your personal career growth and advancement options working with the company.

Skilled Roofing Labourer / Skilled Labourer
(All Year Work / Weekend Work Available):
£85 - £140 per day + fuel (8am – 16:30pm)
Dependent on experience, skill set, own transport etc.
-Full UK Driving License (Required)
(No more than 6 points for use of company vehicles)
-Own Transport (Preferred – car sufficient)
(Company Van possible for right candidates)
-CIS Registered (UTR) (Required)
-Green Labourer CSCS (Preferred)
-Roofing Tools (Preferred)
-Power Tools, Leads etc. (Preferred)

Experience Required
-Tile roofing (laying tile or slate): 3+ yrs (Beneficial)
-Experience of roof felt & batten laying: 3+ yrs (Beneficial)
-Assisting roofers in completion of full new roofs (strip, felt, batten, tile,): 3+yrs (Beneficial)
-Experience flat roofing (woodwork/torch on felt): 3+ yrs (Beneficial)
-Lead Work (dressing): 3+ yrs (Beneficial)
-Assisting Velux / Window Fitting: 3+ yrs (Beneficial)
-Fitting or assisting fitting Gutters Soffit and fascia: 3+ yrs (Beneficial)
-New build project environment (multiple plots / multiple roofs): 3+ yrs (Beneficial)
-Confident in the measuring, cutting of building materials: 3+ yrs (Required)
-Use of Power Tools (including cutting tools including grinder etc.): 3+ yrs (Required)
-General builder skilled labourer (or equivalent): 3+ yrs (Required)
Skill Sets Required
-Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers & office
-Must be reliable and able to work on your own and as part of a team
-Must be able to give clear concise instructions to labourers and manage workloads of each when required
-Be confident in issue reporting to management when required
