Summary

Capita is looking for a Senior IT Change Implementation Analyst on a 6-month fixed term contract, on a part-time basis, 3 days per week (22.5 hours per week).

The role will be focused on delivering a specialist project with our regulated Life & Pensions / Financial Services division, specifically focusing on configuration management, and upgrade development of our toolsets.

This role will predominantly be based remotely, however with the main base of operations being out of Glasgow, it would be preferable for you to reside close to our offices.

What will you deliver?

Working in our Change Implementation Team you will support the programme of client driven, regulatory and internal change work including IT service modernisation & transformation activities alongside supporting the production service, by assuming responsibility for the following:

• Controlled deployment of software changes made to large scale Policy Administration Systems and Ancillary applications across a range of platforms in the IT estate whilst ensuring the integrity of environments at all levels during the SDLC and complying with Change & Release policies/procedures.

• Administration, support & maintenance of Configuration Management (CM) software, deployment tools and utilities used to version manage and deploy our suite of systems and applications.

What are we looking for?

Candidates must have demonstrable experience in a Change Implementation role, preferably within a Life and Pensions organisation, and demonstrate a comprehensive level of skills/knowledge in the following areas:

Essential:
• Administration of CM products

• Serena Dimensions v12.2
• PVCS Version Manager v6.7
• Microsoft VSS


• IBM Mainframe experience inc MVS/TSO/COBOL/JCL

Desirable:

• VB6
• Distributed deployments
• OS/390 deployments
• Scripting (e.g. Powershell)
• Windows & Unix server
• Databases inc. Mainframe DB2, SQL Server, ORACLE SQL.
• Weblogic
• IIS
• BMC Remedy or similar ITSM products
• Understanding of the SDLC and Change & Release Management framework
• Excellent planning, organisational, communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload to meet business needs
• Ability to work comfortably under pressure and to tight time scales
• A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
