Summary
The Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to recruit a dynamic, highly motivated & enthusiastic Senior Clinical Engineer to join our Clinical Engineering team.
We are looking for an individual with previous technical experience in a provider setting, who is innovative & keen to develop safe clinical engineering service across the trust & in wider community. The post holder will be responsible to provide specialised clinical technical services for preventative maintenance, servicing, calibration, inspection, and repair to a wide range of complex and patient connected medical equipment.

The successful candidate will work under Deputy Manager of the Clinical Engineering. The post holder will provide specialist clinical support to the users of the life support and life saving devices under all conditions of urgency. This involves giving technical services as well as guidance on the operation of complex equipment to clinical users at the point of use.
The post holder will carry out modifications to specialist clinical equipment arising from external bulletins such as MHRA and manufacturer alerts. Also, Responsibility for providing specialist clinical support include to assess the performance, diagnose faults and carry out repairs to a wide range of medical equipment. The post holder will be required to participate in an ON-CALL out of hours scheme, requiring the post holder to work and make decisions autonomously outside normal working hours.
Candidates will work closely with clinical and non-clinical team members as well as the Trust’s senior management team.
Candidates should therefore be confident in liaising with clinician & nursing staff, have excellent communication skills and be able to support and advise on complex devices & safety matters.
