Crynodeb
The post-holder will communicate directly with patients by telephone to support and encourage them to return samples suitable for FIT testing, and provide communication across primary care, pathology and endoscopy to support the FIT testing pathway. The post holder will provide safety netting for primary care by being the main point of contact for GPs and practice staff relating to FIT testing. They will support primary care in the follow-up of non-returned FIT tests by liaising with GPs and supporting patients to complete the test. The post holder will work with the Endoscopy Team ensuring patients with positive FIT test results are escalated onto the 62 day cancer pathway. The post holder will work both directly and indirectly with patients and their carers using a range of IT systems to assist in coordinating the care of patients through their hospital journey.
