Job Title: Warehouse Operative/Parcel Sorter
Location:Hoyland, Barnsley. You will be working in a state-of-the-art parcel distribution centre spanning 340,000sqft, making it the largest facility of its kind in Europe.
Job Type:We are currently seeking both full-time and part-time candidates, including students, for the role of Warehouse Operative/Parcel Sorter. This is a temporary position with the potential for ongoing work until January and beyond, with the opportunity to secure a full-time position with our client and enjoy impressive benefits and guaranteed employment. We, as your agency, are committed to providing flexibility and support, with onsite presence 5 - 7 days a week.

Salary:This role offers a competitive hourly rate of between £11.44 and £11.94, with increased peak rates.
Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative/Parcel Sorter to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently sort, package, and prepare parcels for delivery. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Job Duties:
• Sorting incoming parcels based on delivery route
• Securely and accurately packaging parcels
• Ensuring correct labelling of parcels for despatch
• Assisting with inventory management and stock control
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
• Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Physical fitness and ability to lift parcels weighing up to 20kg
We offer a variety of shift options:
- Monday - Friday
- Sunday - Thursday
- Weekends only
Shift times include:
- 06:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 22:00
- 22:00 - 06:00
Experience:No prior experience is required as full training will be provided on the job.
