A&G Structures Limited carry out the design, Fabrication and installation of Structural Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork to the UK Construction Market.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Trainee Estimator / Surveyor to join our growing team in the steel fabrication sector.
This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to learn the essentials of estimating, surveying, and project management within a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work closely with an experienced team to develop your skills and contribute to our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering and analysing data for project estimates, including materials, labour, and time requirements.
Support the preparation of detailed cost estimates for fabrication projects based on project specifications and drawings.
Learn to conduct site surveys and measurements to determine project feasibility and requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
Maintain organised records of estimates, quotes, and project documentation.
Participate in client meetings to understand project needs and provide support as required.
Develop a strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and best practices related to steel fabrication.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths and English;
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and basic computer skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
