Job Duties:
• Install and fit shop fixtures and fittings according to specifications
• Read and interpret drawings and plans to determine the layout of the shop
• Measure and cut materials to ensure accurate installation
• Assemble and install shelving, cabinets, counters, and other shop elements
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Shopfitter or in a similar role
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Health and Safety certification is desirable
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in shop fitting or a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
• CSCS card
• First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
The role involves working indoors and outdoors, and may require lifting and carrying heavy materials. It may also involve working at heights and in various weather conditions.
