Home Care Assistants - Job Description
Job type:6145 Care workers and Home carers
Home Care Assistant / Care Workers
**Applicants must have UK manual driving licence**
Main Function of the job:
To provide Care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager, and within the care plans.
To maintain Care skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice.
(Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required).
Location: Milton Keynes office - (May include areas out of Milton Keynes depending on location of client contract) ie In service users’ usual places of residence/homes.
Main Duties (Not in any order of priority):
Whist promoting the independence of the individual service user and meeting their care needs, Paratus Partners Care Assistants must be willing to;
-Assist/provide personal care
-Provide Nutrition and hydration support
-Support with medication needs
-Assist in domestic duties
-Comply with all policies and procedures
-To liaise with management
-To report back any concerns relating to the health of the service user
-To participate in service quality meetings
-To work together to constantly improve services
-Support an open, positive, and inclusive working culture
-Work in cooperation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams in order to maximise opportunities for Service User therapeutic Care.
-Ensure Service User rights are protected.
-Encourage a model of self-care and Service User rehabilitation.
-Record relevant activities in Care Plans.
-Maintain good standards of Care competence.
-Maintain standards required by legislation related to the registration of the service /agency
Skill, experience and qualifications:
As a minimum we require that all our care assistant have passed at least 5 GCE O level subjects. The "O" level passes must include English and Maths. Applicants must typically be 18 years old some care experience highly desirable.
Training or qualification in care or working towards a qualification an advantage.
Salary: From £22,360 Annually All inclusive
