Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join the Corporate Finance Team at Hull City Council as a Finance Business Partner. If you are CCAB qualified, then this position may be of interest to you.
This is a permanent role and is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in finance and gain hands on experience in a busy public sector environment. Knowledge and experience of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) is desirable but not essential.
We are looking for someone with strong accounting knowledge, who can interpret and analyse complex data along with a robust understanding of financial processes and procedures. The candidate must have the ability to undertake financial modelling, build budgets and monitor forecast, all of which are required within the role to provide support, advice and guidance to Council services.
The successful applicant will hold effective communication and analytical skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team. The role involves the management of a staff team which both leadership and management skills are therefore essential.
