We are currently recruiting for a Community Housing Team Leader to join our Housing Team. You will be working with colleagues across the business and directorate to ensure strong, effective leadership of the Community Housing Team.
The overall purpose of the Community Housing Team Leader role is to assist the Head of Housing by focusing on the allocation of our homes, dispute resolution, customer engagement, excellent housing management, partnership working, networking and developing initiatives.
As part of the role you will work with the voids team and local authority to ensure the Community Housing Team allocate and let our empty homes in an effective, efficient and cost effective manner and in line with our policies and procedures. You will also take a lead in team meetings, bring forward and implement suggestions for improvement in service provision, assist in training sessions and working groups, and contribute to customer engagement sessions.
We are looking for the successful applicant to have strong leadership skills in coaching, mentoring. They should be able to support the Community Housing Team to seek innovation and to think differently in our approach to housing management and customer engagement. Strong knowledge of housing legislation will allow you to guide and shape the new approaches and respond positively to any changes.
