Crynodeb
Main Purpose:
Overseeing our new plant trials, potting stock, compiling evaluations and keeping records. Maintaining MPS-ABC record keeping and overseeing audits. Working as a member of the growing team.
Key Tasks:
Potting trial plants and setting down on the trials bed
Looking after all cultural aspects of the trial plants bed including watering, feeding, spacing, pinching, spraying.
Compiling regular evaluations of trial plants.
Photographing plants included in evaluations.
Recording evaluation results and compiling Power Point presentations of evaluations.
Reviewing rose trials in the field and in pots with presentations for the sales team.
Reviewing genus comparison trials with presentations for the sales team.
Looking after a small growing area on our Tram Inn nursery.
Key Result Areas:
The tidy and presentable appearance of the trials area
Well run and well attended new plant evaluations
High quality presentations of evaluation results
Accurate record keeping of all new plant, rose and comparison trials
Successful third-party environmental audits
Providing trial results to breeders/young plant suppliers
Effective presentations for the sales team
Responsible for:
