Our client, Organic Sea Harvest, are looking for candidates who are interested in the aquaculture industry, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. There are openings for experienced and trainee Fish Farm Technicians.

Place of Work: Staffin, North East Isle of Skye
Salary: Starting from £25,500 dependent on experience, plus overtime paid at 1½.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, this will include weekend working.
Holidays: 30 days per annum (inclusive of public holidays) for a FTE.
Pension: Attractive package once probationary period has been completed.
Accommodation: Shared accommodation can be arranged for the right candidate.

Organic Sea Harvest are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated applicants to join their farming team, working on their sea farms operating from their base in Staffin, North East Skye. Fish Farm Technicians are at the heart of their business, and are responsible for caring for salmon on a daily basis and helping ensure best management practices. The role involves working at sea, on farms, with a variety of duties including:

  • Monitoring and managing fish health and welfare.
  • Daily environmental checks.
  • Inspection and maintenance of farming equipment and facilities.
  • Boat handling.
  • General farm tasks to keep the operation running.
