In this role, you will lead digital marketing and communication efforts for our Industry and Innovation programmes, transforming the way we connect with healthcare professionals, patients, NHS partners, and the life science and health etech sectors. You will report to the Head of Communications and Director of Strategic and Industry Partnerships.

As the Digital Communications and Marketing Expert primarily within the Strategic and Industry Partnerships team at HIOTV, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital footprint across the life sciences and healthcare innovation sector. Your responsibilities will include:

• Digital Strategy Development: Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive digital marketing strategies for our Industry and Innovation programmes.
• Content Creation and Management: Develop engaging and informative content for various digital platforms, including websites, social media channels, newsletters, and blogs.
• Campaign Execution and Optimisation: Plan, execute, and monitor digital campaigns that effectively communicate our innovation programmes and initiatives.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Use digital analytics tools to track the performance of digital marketing efforts. Prepare detailed reports to evaluate the success of campaigns.
• Brand and Reputation Management: Ensure all digital content aligns with HIOTV’s brand values and objectives.

• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Head of Communications as well as other internal teams to align digital marketing efforts with organisational goals. You will also collaborate with external partners including stakeholders within the NHS, industry, research and other Health Innovation Networks.

At HIOTV, your work will have a real impact. You will be contributing to projects that directly enhance healthcare innovation, improve patient outcomes and support the NHS.

• Coordinate and manage the relevant sections of the main HIOTV websites
• To contribute to the development of the online presence of the organisation through an innovative approach to our websites and social media
• To work with third parties providing direction for website development including design and functionality
• To ensure that HIOTV websites and online promotion are following IG best practice
• Co-ordination of online marketing channels including segmented e-mail marketing campaigns, content scheduling calendar and increased social media presence
• To deliver regular reports on the campaign performance and contribute to Board and Directorate reports for Online information and analysis
• To proactively drive innovation of our online marketing through analysis, testing and timely delivery of campaigns
• To help ensure marketing strategy, planning and delivery is effective as well as raising the profile of the programmes at all times
• To help ensure Marketing and CRM databases are managed and maintained effectively
• To co-ordinate the production of other marketing materials including brochures, marketing collateral, magazines, newsletters and e-mail marketing campaigns
• Support and leadership (where appropriate) of specific projects as agreed with the Head of Industry and Innovation, taking the lead and ensuring:

· Creation and maintenance of the project initiation document and associated plans with regular team meetings to monitor progress and resources. Support action required to meet conflicting/changing requirements.

· Monitoring project progress and provision monthly reports against implementation plans.

· Leading on post-project evaluation, documenting and presenting lessons learned for projects that the post-holder is specifically responsible for.

• Management of third party contracts and staff at senior level within partner organisations including industry, academia and the NHS. This responsibility will require expert skills in the management of complex stakeholder interactions.
• Identification of risks and issues that are preventing rollout and escalation of risks and issues (and plans for mitigation) to the Programme Team Meetings and the Oversight Groups.
• Responsible for a high standard of work supporting the delivery of projects on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner.
• Building and supporting relationships within NHS organisations, the Network’s nine universities and life sciences and industry partners to support the objectives of the HIN, and to ensure the widest possible engagement, providing new opportunities for individual stakeholders and partners to work together and initiate proposals and projects.

The post holder will be required to support the building and maintenance of constructive working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
