Operations Manager – Thermal Insulation
Location: TN16, near Westerham, Kent
ICE Thermal, part of the ICE Services Group is a leading provider of industrial thermal insulation and HVAC solutions. ICE Thermal delivers several services including but not limited to thermal imaging surveys, trace heat installation, sheet metal cladding, frost protection, fire protection and acoustic insulation.
We now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s thermal insulation and HVAC projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the industry who is responsible for improving efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all projects. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget.
Manage the allocation of resources, including labour, materials and equipment, to maximse efficiency and productivity.
Develop and manage projects budgets, ensuring cost effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
Implement and maintain high-quality standards across all projects. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote culture of safety and conduct regular safety training sessions.
Lead and manage a team of project managers, supervisors, field staff.
Provide guidance, support and professional development opportunities.
Maintain strong relationship with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring high levels of customers satisfaction.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Relevant qualifications and certifications in insulation and safety practices.
Minimum of 5 years experience in thermal insulation services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of insulation materials, HVAC systems and industry regulations.
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
A CCNSG Safety Passport is desirable.
